First Quality Food Conference planned

Checkout is delighted to announce the launch of a new conference focusing on successful new product development on the day of the Quality Food Awards.

Judith Batchelar: keynote presentation

The Quality Food Conference – Developing Successful New Products is targeted at brand managers, npd managers, retail buyers, ingredients suppliers and anyone with an interest in UK food developments.

The event, which takes place on 27 November at the London Marriott Hotel, Grosvenor Square, will bring together senior figures from the multiple retail sector, food manufacturers and industry analysts to share insights on improving npd.

The conference will be structured around four key themes: the npd process, health, premiumisation and convenience. Each themed session will include presentations from industry analysts, leading multiple retailers and top brands.

Judith Batchelar, Sainsbury’s director of brand, will provide the keynote presentation. Other confirmed speakers include Susan Darbyshire, marketing director of Spar; Lucy Ede, head of product development at Innocent Drinks; Hamish Renton, managing director of Uniq Foods’ Paignton desserts site; Steven Poole, director of The Food Bureau; Paul Monk, chairman of Inventabrand; Simon King, marketing and innovation director at Northern Foods; and ACNielsen business directors, Jonathan Banks and Louise Boitoult. Simon Wright, founder of The Organic Consultancy, will take the conference chair.

Launched on the back of the prestigious Quality Food Awards, the Quality Food Conference, will be a must-attend event for previous and aspiring Q award winners.
