Mateus, the leading rosé wine brand, will be on TV again from July 31 with a £1.2m campaign that will run throughout August.
Distributor First Drinks Brands is targeting 20- to 35-year-old drinkers and the campaign will feature both Mateus Rosé Original and the more recently launched Mateus Rosé Tempranillo. The ads will appear during programmes such as Big Brother and Hollyoaks.
Brand manager Helen Bull said the brand was growing at 22% year-on-year and growth in 2005 was the highest recorded for Mateus in more than a decade.
The commercial features a pink polar bear with the strapline Anyone can do cold and pink. No one does rosé like Mateus. It is estimated that more than 26m adults across England, Wales and Scotland will see the campaign.
