White Shield scoops top award

Worthington’s White Shield scooped the gold award for bottled beer at Camra’s Great British Beer Festival in August.

The long-established IPA was relaunched three years ago in new-look packaging by Coors Brewers following a deal to brew it by the Museum Brewing Company, next to the Coors main production centre in Burton on Trent. The silver award went to Greene King’s Hen’s Tooth, with Titanic Brewery’s Titanic Stout taking the bronze award.
